For The Long Run

Shantla Mesa 1989 (Santo Domingo)

There is something

in the air

it just doesn't feel right

to guard my mind

it all feels cluttered

our faces

they hide

in words

with no meaning

in words for the sake

of talking

I applaud myself

for being here

how I've made it this far

with a mind that's my enemy

I've got nowhere to hide

but I keep on running

as fast as I can

so no one can catch me

so no one can fight
