Menus fancifully
Overpriced
Take a moment
New world

Not sure
An intruder
In the forest
Of importance

Blend in
Sore as a tack
A sad attempt
At belonging

Another drink
Smooth rough edges
So I think
I can polish too

Sadly
Being too loud
Too friendly
Too me

Stupid girl
Go home
To real
Loving Arms

Safe and sure
Out of harms way
Right
Where I belong.

About this poem

Went out to grab drinks at a popular watering hole. Everyone seemed so important and I felt so out of place. Made me wish I was home safe instead of trying to fit in where I felt alone.
