When and Why

I sit and watch as you walk away, just like the last who promised to never leave. As you turn the corner, the numbness of my soul seeps through every memory of my past. The screams of the silent pain that's been buried are clawing and fighting for air...."Will I ever be good enough"? "What's wrong with me"?? "Why can't just one fucking person stay??" I just want the chance, the chance to show someone all the love I've hidden deep within each tiny slither of my lifes pain. The parts of me that were rejected or taken selfishly. I just want someone to see the beauty in my brokenness, and not my stiches as a curse. Will someone ever stay? I need one moment with no pain,  a moment I don't have to beg to be important. One moment just to feel genuinely loved.....

About this poem
