Blank verse
Time stands still
As I await for
Words on you
Everything else has
Faded away, my only
Concern is for you
All I want is
Words of encouragement
People to say that
Everything will be
Alright, nothing bad
Is going to happen
My live for you
Is all that I have
God knows how much
You mean to me.

About this poem

It was written for my grandmother as a reminder of how much she loved my grandfather. He was in the hospital after suffering a stroke and she was just living day by day with news about him. He passed away a month after I had written this on 1/21/21.
