Memories

In the stillness of the silence of the night
Memories they start to take flight
Sobbing the tears start to roll
As the grief takes it’s toll.

I can’t believe all is gone that we had
But to wish you back would be selfish and sad
You were not well and couldn’t stay
So God humbly took you away

Heaven is now your new home
All of eternity there you will roam
Pop and family are around you
Free at last on that great bayou.
