My Element

the rasp breath touches my face
that makes me want to chase
to taste
to savor
to embrace

the longing radiating heat
hits
no... beats
pierced through my skin
ripping each layer

releases the person within
hidden lost element
within this kiss she was truly missed

woken, she craved, she reply back
rasp breath
tight chest
soul sucking breath she stole back

she wept
these lips she touched
forever branded
my element
craved with respect

About this poem

There's always a hidden element a hidden person we lost within us that we forget it's always been there. Locked away. When we lose love we tend to punish ourselves and lock away the best feature of us. Our love our fire we carry in ourselves.
