I have a story to tell

Shelia A Tiemann 1952 (E. St. Louis ill)

I have a story to tell, one of faith, courage, hope, death and even hell.

It is a story of a country, the land of the free, full of riches, dreams, hopes and poverty.

A country where every person could have a good life and live without fear, work at their jobs and love all who are dear.

Till one day, when we thought all was well, on September 11, 2001, our lives became hell.

Our trust was shaken, so many lives were lost, the enemy destroyed us, no matter the cost.

Some were at work, some were at play, but no_one knew it was their last day. Our country, the land of the free, wandered in shock, how could this be?

We were safe before, in a country so great, strangers joined us, there was never a wait. The flag we sang to, it's colors so bright, flew proudly for us, into the night.

Our faith grew stronger, our courage grew more, the flag flew proudly, it seem to soar. Our dreams will continue, our lives will go on.

This country. , so honored by the angels who have gone.
