Stewing To Brew
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
We the people.
Who are blessed with life to live.
And whether conscious of this or not,
Currently there is a threatening virus...
Mutating as if determined to rid,
The human race.
To know as is.
And yet...
There are many who seem disbelieving,
The reality of this global epidemic...
Is nothing more,
Than an inconvenience.
Annoying their selfish normal lives.
Attempting to destroy,
Their bigoted and racist ways.
Yet to dawn upon them to realize.
Division, conflicts and chaos to start,
With an ignoring messages...
Sent by God!
Only continues,
To leave them the victims.
With it to believe,
A power to grab it done successfully...
Will have them left,
Ruling to control over others to perceive...
Themselves as 'deities'.
Instead of the fools they are.
This stew a few have created to brew,
That has stirred up a taste to crave.
Done to eliminate the face of diversity!
Has promise to become,
Another civilization...
Ruined effectively by an elitist greed.
Discovered in time eventually,
Not so advanced in common sense.
Or using their minds to be convinced,
The Earth.
And all that God creates.
Is a place to appreciate and love.
However...
If not?
Guess who ultimately benefits,
From a man-made stupidity received?
And...
Believe it or not,
The benefactors will not be...
Weapon makers.
Bomb droppers.
Or virus creators.
Left to leave cheering victoriously!
Since it seems to always be,
History found to find repeated.
'And off again they are...
Seeking somewhere else to go,
To create for themselves...
That perfect existence to live it!'
'That will never happen.'
'Don't be so negative.
Why do you say that?'
'What other place,
Had been more perfect than Earth?
Before 'someone' decided...
Things to have and value,
More than life itself.
Would be to their advantage.
If envy and jealousy was introduced.'
'Stop your nonsense.
Everyone should know by now,
That is nothing but folklore.
And tall tales told.'
'Yeah, okay.'
'And besides,
Who actually believes to accept...
They have been duped.
To then be tricked and lied to,
By deceivers.
That stuff ain't nothing,
But a bunch of fiction!'
'Yeah, okay.
Science fiction, right?'
'Whatever!
Hey...come here.
Take a look at this.'
'What is it?'
'To me?
It looks like some kind of keyboard.
Attached to a wire.'
'Hmmm.
I wonder what it was used for?'
'Who knows.
Remember those coins we found?
With those symbols on them?'
'Yeah I do!
Oh well.
Maybe then to them it had meaning.
Let's beam ourselves,
Back to the 'Mothership'.
I am starving.'
'Me too.
Let's go.
This place had potential.
Look how beautiful it still is.
I wonder what they called this place?'
'You gonna stay here?
I'm leaving!'
