A lucid blessing

I had a dream within a dream
I was sailing over a forlorn river stream
Below I see my flaccid body, wanting to scream!
In a trance akin to a fugue and pellucid state,
Limp and paralyzed with low self-esteem
As no sound resonates, I curse my aphasic fate.

My mind breaks into a silent shout,
This dream that set a bout of fear and trepidation.
My body and soul blames me for being undevout,
As I faintly discern the ghoulish apparition.

It’s something so lucid, yet I fly unsettled,
That static presence may be my delusion.
Bewildered if It’s a dream or have I deceased,
Once an atheist, I pray to cease this illusion of confusion.

As astonishing as it may be,
The dark entity turns vivid, godly and luminous.
A frail and old dame I see,
Her smile so comforting, familiar and lustrous.
She brushes her lip to my cheek,
That feeling so heart stirring and delicate.
Amma ? Overwhelmed I speak,
O this surreal feeling so accurate.

My omnipresent guardian angel,
My grandma, caresses me and chases away my fears,
This dream within a dream so fulfilling.
From the aphotic to photic and godly it reshapes,
Through an ocean of dark, an optimistic mind is always winning.
As I embrace my beloved Amma, she dissipates into the milky white drapes.
