A Tear is Shed

A tear is shed every night before I go to bed,  a tear is shed because of the voices in my head. A tear is shed when my heart breaks, A tear is shed when you can't fix your mistakes. A tear is shed when I feel lonely and scared, a tear is shed when I think the thought of being dead. A tear is shed when I dream about being abused, a tear is shed when I have nothing to lose. A tear is shed when I think about this world my children are being raised in, a tear is shed because it is a world of sin. A tear is shed cause there is no one to trust, a tear is shed because everything comes with a price. A tear is shed when people are living just on rice, a tear is shed when you get cut like you have been stabbed with a knife. A tear is shed when we continue fighting this everlasting battle, we can be white, black but in my eyes all lives
matter. A tear is shed when I feel lost and defeated, it's not easy to say that I've been mistreated. A tear is shed when life is lost, a tear is shed when you don't know why and at what cost. A tear is shed when you are judged by the color of your skin, a tear is shed when they can't see the love you carry within.  A tear is shed cause they know nothing about you, a tear is shed when no one knows what you've been through. This is my life story, so don't go around thinking you know me.
