The Mockingbird flies
Dena Lombardo 2004 (Mississippi)
When you see the eyes the cries of a bird shine you feel amazed
But how come you always feel dazed,
When you see a little light of a firefly you know when a mockingbird flies.
You know when it dies
You know when it cries
But all these things happen when a mockingbird flies.
You deny what crows for help
But everyone else crows
So why don't you feel loved?
Cubs can die
Cubs can cry
This happens when a mockingbird flies.
Life is a cry
Life is a part where you feel loved
But you feel like you're stuck
How come you may ask
Well, these things happen when a mockingbird flies.
Here and there everywhere there are cries,
There are mothers singing lullabies,
There are so many things going on around you
Your space to crash into another dimension,
You wonder why?
Well, all these things happen when a mockingbird flies.
No one knows why
But, they feel like dying,
Tho no one knows for sure
When a mockingbird flies.
About this poem
This poem was written by me on one of my worst days. I was lost in depression and I started to write poetry. This is just one of many poems that I wrote myself.
