Autumn Is A Beautiful Tragedy

without thought or searching for revelation
I've stumbled swiftly upon it - the workings-
of late autumn's moods
                    O how she awaits heaven's tears !
yes I've found it without pondering
so many seasons have surfaced -
finding myself in the hard drawn out flight
of summer casting itself away !

I suppose I've kicked the leaves several times
never seeing their shapes dying in my eyes
death has tolerated my adventurous moods
I've never thought about their generational curse
never considered how the leaves too fall in death.

what is a revolving scheme that turns itself around
without a mind or a heart of expression ?
time will always reveal itself in soft but critical ways
the temperature finds its way around.

looking through my window everything is a distraction
taking me away from life's splendor
we are bound by the beautiful tragedy
                                                   that takes our breath away.

About this poem

I'm a lover of the season of autumn and I was really feeling it the other day so this came about.
