PREHISTORIC PREDATORS
Prehistoric predators somehow returned
Surrounding a town named purgatory,
A town that's on the Devil's highway
Some call it Satan's private reformatory.
Bat-winged Verdillacs are soaring
Above the town in the pitch-black night,
Colossal Shoggoths and Night Gaunts
Engaging in a hellish fight.
A fight for the right to kill and devour
Foolish humans outside after twilight,
Slowly meandering through the town
Until encountering hellish sights:
Raptors and winged reptiles swooping
Toward the now fleeing townsfolk,
Creatures more loathsome than any
That even fallen priests could invoke.
Prehistoric predators somehow returned
From out of the red desert sands,
Destroying everything in their paths
As they're rampaging across the land.
As malevolent creatures appear
The citizens stay locked inside,
Too wary to go out after twilight
Where malignant horrors reside.
Shrilling fills the moonless night
In this land of ancient carnivores,
Where monsters from all time reside:
Pteranodons, Ploughmen, even Manticore.
