A God
Emmanuel Stephanie 1997 (Port Harcourt)
I'm broken, in view I'm trodden
not sure what the future holds, hope seems stolen
always heard there was a God who never fails
ain't sure if I do believe anymore
I've been needing someone, anyone
to help solve this hurt and wrath
but there has been none
so I wandered away, believing my own lies
believing that no one really understands
little did I know that a God so beautiful and vast
had already planned my life
erased my past and decorated my future with smiles
so I've decided to turn to this God
whose love is immeassurable
whose works are indescribable
I do believe you are a God who never fails
