for a moment

it shock him to the core
in what seems strange because he
knew the course of the acts
performed before him
the proper pronunciation of words
clear and sung in tunes
of perfect harmony
but sung over the wrong song
one unrehearsed and one that seemed
strange and in the wrong place
easier to respond to til then
her soften voice proud and bold
offering her thanks to an audience
that definitely appreciated her
were nice words speak appreciation
in the fullness of believing
and in all expressions of each word
"I thank you, that I love you
and in appreciation of tonight
might tomorrow find you loved"
through the stained glassed theater
we sat and wished for more
the intimidating presence of
morning upon us, due to
the runover of her performance.
to the strenght of the character
and to the strenght of performance
we applauded her
for finding
creativty in the union of
two different songs melded
together for the sake of
performance.
