A Thread of Darkness

There’s this thread of nightmares
A thread so wicked and dark
A thread that ends those dreams, and haunts those eyes
Some cut that thread, only for it to be knotted back
Others ignore that thread, only for it rise those shadows
This thread wakes up children and disturbs their night
This thread delights evil and malice, and enjoys the terror it brings on
Was there an end to this thread of nightmares?
Was there an end to this fear?
No, there was not because no matter how much you cut and avoid, there will always be that thread of nightmares
For this, this thread of nightmare, was a thread so wicked and dark.
