A Glimpse

Tapan Sethi 2002 (Odisha)

A Glimpse
__________

In a cadenced voice
I listened vaugely
"can you??'
and that's a bit sheepish for me to
pick up that little scattered papers

She is saying
every time I come closer, you move away
My soul got sweetly bitten
a creamy infatuation
How can that much shimmering someone be
A little buffer in our eyes
and again closer
a tiny hover in my heart
and soothing smile in my face
I saw her

How gleaming her eyes was
When mine's met her
feeled like my heart skipped a beat
love like thing occurs to me
Her face,it was blossomed like a flower

I stood
My legs reprobate to walk
I couldn't see a single thing
How sonorous it was
she talked to me
a scant of minutes elapsed

I embellished that little scattered papers
nodged her hand,gave that
I scrutinized her
I feel like I am cherishing her

Days transpired like glimpse of seconds
I incandescented by her love
she adored me,I adored her
and thought of her and me

In my envasion
before accomplishing that
It was a haze of mine
by seeing her from far.
