I would say
I would say: Don't be afraid.
But if you are, there's no need to be ashamed.
I would say: Hide if you don't want to be found.
But don't hide too long cause in the blink of an eye that dark corner that gave you comfort will swallow you whole.
I would say: Jump of that cliff but only cause you feel alive, not because you're too low.
I would say: get drunk or get high.
But stop the day you start to ask yourself why.
I would say: fight instead of flight.
But trust your instinct when it tells you to go.
I would say: love as much as you can.
But not at the cost that someone has you in their control.
I would say: Don't be so shy.
It's ok to talk about the days you'd rather die.
But my friend, what I truly want to say: Don't run away from me when I'm trying to make you see, that I will never sugarcoat and bad shit can happen in one, two, three.
Please don't fear, cause I don't want to see the life in you disappear
About this poem
This poem is for everyone that needs someone to say the truth, what they need to hear instead of what they want to hear. It's my way to say that whoever you are and in whatever country you live, you deserve to hear answers. I think I want to offer people a reality check with a golden layer. And that whatever you decide to do or not to do, it might not always work out cause every decision in life has a flipside.
