A Message to Him

How do you not remember me?
I was 15, you were in your sixties.
I trusted you, I danced every week with you.
You were a predator, you were a pedophile, you are a monster.
You saw a young, naïve trusting girl and took advantage of her.
You touched me in ways you never should have.
You had your wife try to groom me.
You used my religion as a way to keep me silent.
For three almost four years you sexually abused me.
For years I blamed myself, I was drowning in my pain.
I almost died several times by my hand because of what you were doing to me.
I was so scared of you, I stayed silent for years drowning in my pain.
When I was 19, with the strength of my friends I went to the police.
Six-month investigation, ended with nothing as there was no physical evidence left.
You get to walk around free, as I have nightmares and flashbacks of you.
Every day I battle my C-PTSD and die a little bit inside knowing that I will never get justice.
The words the detective told me still echo in my mind.
He claims to have no memory of you, unless someone else comes forward I can do nothing else.
 Disrespectfully F*ck You Rick.
How do you not remember me?
