Full Circle

Full Circle

28 years have gone by,
Much has changed in that time,
Laying here broken hearted,
Destined to be alone, should a crime.

Nothing has truly changed,
Looking back it Is all the same,
Just a memory on repeat,
Exact same outcome, what a shame.

They say, learn from the past,
So history does not repeat,
I must not of learned,
I suffered the exact same defeat.

I know I was not perfect,
Neither were you,
At least I did not cheat,
But you chose to screw.

I should have seen it coming,
I chose to turn a blind eye,
I sat there and listened,
I chose to believe your lie.

I was "in love" with you,
You were not " in love" with me
You chose him again,
How could I not see.

You are my kryptonite,
As he is yours,
Now I am drowning in an ocean,
I can not even see the shores.

Now my choices are limited,
The time draws near,
The decisions ahead are hard,
This is my biggest fear.
