The Mouse

The Mouse
Sudip Biswas

He covers his chamber pot
The king ordered to kill him
I said, 'Do not kill the mouse'
But the narcotics killed the defenceless one
#
Early in the morning we drummed the killing order
It's too loud rather than the prayer.
Myself a traditional poet,
Lines are repeated without  emphasis
The spontaneous way makes the morning,
The killing made up to a personage event.
