Texan

David Ray McAlpine 1957 (Oak Cliff, TX)

went on down the road another mile
to the blue and red fence posts.

Took a left
Took a right
Felt bereft
Then took on the fight

Another day just like most
This here Texan was a wearin a smile
Drove a mile or more down the road
Listenin to the stories the fence posts told
