Light And Darkness

Between the light and darkness,
I was nobody while you were ace,
you just stood there watching,
for you my suffering was nothing.

Angels were shining in the light,
darkness had bore devil's plight,
myths were angels as well as hollows,
as deep the hate is deeper the love goes.

You left me time and yet again,
all the love came along with pain,
after the pain I had to bear,
light was far darkness was near.

Engulfed in the darkness behind,
a shadow was trapped in bind,
that darkness turned out to be me,
then who shall the light be?

I came to know it was you,
to answer I seek it was a clue,
wondered why we couldn't be together,
logic was that I was ice, you were fire.

While I was shadows you were light,
together yet distant like day and night...

About this poem

The poem is about a love story broken, the pain one felt with the loss and realizing that it's not the end. The poem concludes with the logic that not all love stories are happily ever after...
