A Wiccan Night
Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)
The sky is falling
into a deep velvet blue
stars begin to twinkle
the crescent moon in view.
Many trees around me
not a leaf do they have
'tis the middle of winter
still I dance, skyclad.
Circle is cast
to Thor and to Luna I pray
a magickal ritual
I begin to scry away.
I thank them for the love
that's bestowed upon me
though I have not much
except for my strong beliefs.
I ask for the snow to fall
to nourish the Motherland
I ask them to send me a love
bless me with a gentle man.
Before I close my circle
I take up the chalice cup
I toast to the Gods above
and vow to them my love.
Enlightened and refreshed
ready to start the day anew
my final thought is to heal the world
and may Goddess bless you.
