A Bird flew in..
A bird flew in my window
And he looked scared of me
I don’t know how he got in
But he wanted to be free
It wasn’t the first time he came in
Nor wasn’t the first time he looked scared
As he suspended in a coroner
Gracefully fearful in the air
A bird flew in my window
And came to talk with me
Like the sweetest slice of peace
He eventually looked at me
I couldn’t tell what he was saying
I was too scared to ask
So for a while we just stood there
As the time passed
His freedom mocked me
As he sat here an uninvited guest
His motives intrigued me
Why stay with me under arrest
After a while his speech conflict me
I didn’t speak freedom in this prison
His fear of me startled me
Cause I was stuck here but he isn’t
He flew around speaking free
I was a scared foreigner in his presence
He frantically tried to tell me something
I just wasn’t receiving the message
I couldn’t keep him prisoner any longer
He couldn’t do what he came to do
I put up a window and left the room
Then away the little bird flew
I cried at his departure
Lost in my own language barrier
Could he have been issuing and escape route
Or a friend to make my cell merrier
All I know is…..
A bird flew in my window
And he looked scared of me
I don’t know how he got in
But I think he was trying to free me
