Examining Intelligence

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Noble are the seeking searchers,
Adventuring to uncover the origin...
Of one's thought process.
To have been brought to their attention.
As if on a mission with microscopes,
And assumptions provided...
From one's background to begin.

Then attempt they do,
To examine one's intelligence.
By use of punctuation and grammer.
From what one has written.
Every word, sentence and paragraph.
As if this to do proves,
A kept belief those self anointed to probe...
Are scholars of one's mental capabilities.
To know the source,
Of one's thinking process.
Likes and dislikes.
Shoe size.
And time of day bowel movements are made.

Even if what one does to do,
Is not within their reach to explain.
But will create something totally outrageous.
To validate their waste of time.

'Hmmm...let's see.
He uses a series of dots.
Followed by commas and exclamation marks.
To emphasize the topic and message.'

'OKay.
But...
What is that message?'

'Well,
That we have yet to determine.
Since several are being made at one time.'

'I understand.
But the topic is 'Examining Intelligence'.
Who are those doing the examining?
And what is the message being conveyed?'

'I have no idea.
Is it language usage?
Dots, commas or explanation marks?
And...
What does any of that have to do,
With Intelligence to have it?'

'Maybe that is the message!'

'WHAT IS THE MESSAGE?'

'Why are you yelling at me?
How am I suppose to know?
You are the one probing with the microscope!
