Zugspitze

Come, Germany!
Come to your crowning glory!
I have adventure to offer on my flanks
And unsurpassed views of your home.
By foot or by cable, I will swell your breast with pride
and the freshest air you will ever breathe.
Oh, I know I’m no Everest,
and even the humble Rockies stretch beyond me.
But look! I alone am yours!
So follow your grandparents’ footsteps,
and inspire your grandchildren to follow yours
For while my eons are finite
your days are as well.
