each word spoken were like
sweet mercies that
resounded across the room.
i found delight in her tone
her voice could calm the
most wretched seas
love made our togetherness
 much easier
it allowed us to keep
 our forward thinking
and we could look at
yesterday and smile
thinking even though the worst of times
we'll have one another
even in the best of times
we were readying ourselves for those
tomorrow's that needed these days
to strengthen us!
