Analysis of Why
E.S. Conway 1985 (United Kingdom)
A child of 5, filled with joy.
Innocent, alone, confused.
A child of 10, must be a boy.
Beaten, tortured, abused.
A child of 15, call him Jay.
Lier, cheater, smoker.
A man of 20, lying every day.
User, criminal, broker.
A man of 25, falling apart.
Callous, broken, a lie.
A woman of 30, happy at heart.
Think of this, when you ask me why.
