DEVOLUTION: RETROGRADE EVOLUTION (I)
Life devolving
Into forms too monstrous,
To even contemplate.

A dire awakening
From wishful dreams of hope,
True terror prevails.

THE GREATEST FEAR (II)
The point at which fear
Could grow no greater; every
Nerve end throbbing.

GRINNING, FLESHLESS SKULLS (II)
Grinning, fleshless skulls
On bones picked clean of meat,
By terrors yet unknown.

Of dark, faceless figures,
That walk the haunted night.

HAUNTED SPECTRES (II)
Haunted spectres wait
Deep inside a sunken crypt,
Howling at the night.

Evil snarling beast
Breathing fire and brimstone,
As it hunts by night.

HELLISH FIENDS APPROACH
Inhuman squealing
Emanating from nearby:
Hellish fiends approach.

HELL’S RIDERS
Motorised demons
Closing on their quarries,
Pistons pound like heartbeats.

HIDEOUS MONSTERS
Hideous monsters
With clawed hands like demons,
Covered in horns and spikes.

HORNED, FACELESS DEMONS
Horned, faceless demons
Bat-winged and scaly,
Like prehistoric monsters.

HORROR LURKING NEAR
On the brink of terror
Insane terror gripping you,
Horror lurking near.

A HOUSE OF DANGER
A house of danger
Where evil creatures reside,
Don’t you go on in!

THE HOUSE OF DEATH
In a house of death
Evil slinks all around you,
Unseen in the dark.

IMPOSING STONE STRUCTURES (I)

Made of stone and weighing tons,
Built to please old gods.

Strange dizzy spells
Send you into darkness, where
Evil fiends are waiting.

STRANGE FACES
Visions beset you
Your mind is afire;
Strange faces surround you.

STRANGE SACRIFICES
Strange sacrifices
Performed for pagan gods;
Crawling, hopping demons.

STRANGE, SHIMMERING LIGHTS
Ghostly lights shimmer
Out on an unlit moor as,
Elder gods awake.

STRANGE TRAVELLERS
Immense expanses:
Strange travellers travel down,
Strange lanes and byways.

STRANGE TRAVELLERS SLINKING
Strange travellers slink
Along the dark, lonely trails,
Blending with the night.

STRANGE TURNS
Strange turns warp your outlook
Make you take up evil,
As a way of life.

STRANGE WHISTLING SOUNDS
A strange whistling sound
Calls you out into the night,
To meet dark strangers.

THE SUPERSTITION (II)
Beast of great evil
Knowledge held from science,
Branded superstition.

Threatens the whole world.

From which great monsters crawl,
To terrorise the Earth.

Strength to the Undead.

Something awful nearing,
Terror personified.

TERROR WALKS AMONG US
Terror walks among us
Watched by unseen eyes,
We cower in our fear.

Dreams become nightmares.

Ringing out in the night;
Shoggoths hunting prey.

In the darkness of night:
All your nightmares are real.

Something is watching
Hidden from view by the night,
Your nightmares await.

When your good half sleeps
Your dark half wakens,
Committing untold evil.

You wake to find evil,
Committed in your name.

outside your window, at night,
With eyes blank from death.
