Analysis of When the Bell Tools For You!

Today someone I knew quietly slipped away,
He left here before I could get in a word to say,
I remember the good times, we had some time ago,
Except for my memories of it, no one else will know,
There are so many things in life we all want to do,
But when you get older, it’s harder to follow through,
You see others Younger & Older checking out each day,
It makes you realize you need to get off your ass and play,
I am not the youngster that I once was sometime before,
But I still have life in me and maybe something more,
I would hate to leave with regret in my heart and soul,
I need to put my life in perspective before the ending cold,
No one knows when the bells will toll their way,
Only hope & Pray you have a chance to have a little say!
[Inspired by the passing of “Mr. Joe Brookens, R.I.P.]
