Analysis of Queen City
David Cronk 1977
Footsteps from Erie's all-encompassing gaze
Queen cities lights dimmed by industries haze
Rustbelt erosion in glory days frozen
Birthplace of grit the strong and the chosen
Skyways shadow cast on towers of grain
A city of plight, hope, resurgence, and pain
Peace bridges waterways thundering might
Streets Native born monikers, neons and light
Reborn from ashes of enemies crown
Steel cities memories rust in the ground
