Analysis of Not mine

I'm scared...
I've loved and I lost before...
Made memories that could have make a film...
Gave my all even that which I never had...
Our love was made for movie screens.
  But then came the goodbye...
And you were never mine to keep...
You taught me promises can be broken, that vows and oaths are just words, that they mean nothing...
And that you were never mine,
That all we did was in vain...
And I taught my  heart to be cold...
So that it's never owned again...
I taught it to unlove, because you made me believe love doesn't exist...
And I held you once in my arms...
But you were never mine to keep.
