Analysis of Walking The Hills Of Memory
Magenta fields of blossoms and heather
To my wide open mind I say, "come hither"
Spill over your hillside into my thoughts
For now is a moment when my dream is of yours
Windswept flat of bountiful bliss
Occasional trees I remember their hiss
As the leaves and the wind will coalesce
Smothering sounds and flickers what's left
And outcropping of shale naked from the heath
How much of your shape is hiding beneath?
What fraction of your form is covered by crust?
How long will it be until you weather to dust?
As I envisage the soil on damp grassy land
Suggested footprints follow, a symbol of man
A sun peeking through from a blanket of grey
And the stones of before I walk 'pon them today
