Analysis of Vision expressed

Andy Lyle 1951 (Londonderry)

Feelings drying on the page

Written down when in a rage

Soon the mood of ink will be

Happier when you're close to me

Then the flow will freely come

Tears on page, there may be some

But the final line will say

She didn't love him anyway

The grass it looked a brighter green

When from the other side was seen

Through coloured lenses of deep blue

It gave the grass a different hue

Take off the ruby tinted glass

You fall right back upon your *ss

And realise the grass you seen

Was really brown no hint of green

So from now on you'll have to wear

These tinted specs to hide your care

And pain from all those prying eyes

So they don't see the tears you cry
