Analysis of The Sands of Time

To walk through the grainy sands of time without you.
To never see your face nor to hold your hand.
This would be my greatest pain.
No one to shade me from the red hot sun
which will one day incinerate my very being.
No one to carry me when my naked feet have been consumed
by the intense heat of the sand.
No one to slow my ever spiraling descent into
the depths of this never ending hourglass which we call time.
I would endure this with you, or agonizingly without you.
But I ask of you now to make this journey with me, together . . .
The shade that we share will encircle all
who surround us with the warmth of our love.
We will carry each other when all seems lost.
Together we will walk hand in hand through
the sands of time.
