Analysis of The Fisherman

You bait your line
with the usual
"I'm fat"
And wait for the bite
with a look of smug anticipation
I'm sorry my dear
But there is no fish for you
Today
Or ever again
from this little pond
All you will pull from me is
Seaweed and
Agreement
