Analysis of Storm

The Japanese maple outside my window is

whipped against a dull and colorless sky.

The aubergine leaves struggle and resist as

the wind attempts to rip them from the

safety of their mother's limbs.

And I watch...

with an odd combination of empathy and apathy.
