Analysis of Standing There
Angela Crabtree 1982 (maine)
When I left you standing there...
A tear of joy stammered near...
When I left you standing there...
I drove away with a smile to bare...
When I left you standing there...
A thought crossed my mind with whom no one to share...
When I left you standing there...
You told me you'd always be near...
When I left you standing there...
You told me you loved me and we'd soon be scared...
When I left you standing there...
My heart felt shame, and cold and bare...
When I left you standing there...
I knew in my heart it was time to share...
When I left you standing there...
I knew that I loved you and wanted you near...
When I left you standing there...
My tears of joy turned instantly to fear...
So I left you standing there...
