Analysis of Not Meant To Be
Waves cascade like turquoise tongues,
following the will of God.
And erase fragile footsteps,
lapping at sands lovers trod.
Shining down on paradise,
moonbeams gild the edge of night.
And white clouds cluster below
a saffron Moon's golden light.
Yet beauty goes unnoticed,
for passion's fame fled the scene.
And concealed behind despair,
love can no longer be seen.
Fear has reared it ugly head,
destroying hope yet again.
And two hearts split asunder,
letting anger mask their pain.
Souls once entwined untangle,
for it was not meant to be.
And sadly they walk away,
their tears mingling with the sea.
