Analysis of Into the Wild

Jay says that,
“Jesus can't save you;
Life begins where the church ends.”
But no matter how hard you flex
You'll never get the Truth to bend
And while it's true that my dude
Went and put a ring on a dime
When the Lord rolls back the sky
His Bride will make Beyonce
Look like a negative nine…

Decked out in a white gown
And blood-soaked like Carrie
With an untamed beauty
No one would dare to compare it
Sasha may be fierce
But the Lioness is grizzly
She'll always fight for her Man
Through thick and thin
She's with Him

You say there's “no church in the wild”?!
But there's plenty of wild in the Church
She's as gentle as a dove
With the wisdom of a serpent
Human beings in a mob…
But what's a mob to the King?
And what's an non-believer to the One
Who rules over everything?

Here come those beautiful feet
Quick, straight and narrow
A voice crying out in the wilderness
Admonishing creatures to follow
Not versed in propaganda
But her art's archery aims for the dark meat
Daily mortifying the flesh
Like a cannibal during Shark Week

In the concrete jungle
You'll find her underneath the lamppost
Not sellin' her body as a wonderland
But freely givin' ‘em what they need the most
A refuge from the nightlife
A bright-lit City on a hill
Where broken hearts get mended
And true joy can be fulfilled

They say in the land of the free
The church of the brave
“You better not rock the boat, boy –
You better learn to behave.”
Too late; we've already capsized
And started walkin' on the water
Carrying love into the wild
Like a lamb going to the slaughter
