Analysis of Into the Void, Act I: Fall Apart, Chapter 2 - From Those Inside

What are you thinking about?
Inside the confines of my head
I can't help but feel so left out
Of the hive-mind conversation.
Must've lost my invitation
To the Becoming initiation.

They mostly commune with thoughts,
Most without words.
They are all becoming
/Recombinant!

Powered by a collapsing-molecule sun.
Cannot fight what's already begun.
Prepare for the Becoming.
We are all becoming
/Recombinant!

What is this emerald light
(They mostly commune with thoughts.)
Pouring through the crack in the doorway?
(Most without words.)
It changes everything it touches.

Don't look into the deadlights,
You'll get lost inside.
Don't stare into the deadlights,
You'll get lost inside.
Don't step into the deadlights,
You'll be lost.

Spit out your teeth, as blood runs from our noses
Shirts stained w i t h b l o o d - r e d r o s e s .
Do you like what you're Becoming?
We are all becoming
/Recombinant!

What are you thinking about?
Outside the doorway of the shed
I can't help but feel so left out.
Bathed in jade radiation.
Kick-start my transformation.
Lost in my inebriation.
Are you my last salvation?

They mostly commune with thoughts,
Most without words.
Before you say another word,

Just tell me.

I used to write a lot of poetry when I was a little kid, but eventually lost interest as I got older. I started writing poetry again as a form of art-therapy during a really hard time in my life. I like to try to experiment with different styles and strange metaphors. Understandably, this can make some of my poetry less accessible at times, but occasionally I feel like it pays off. more…
