Analysis of Furry Friend
When we lose a furry friend, no matter what the version,
we still feel horrific rend
as if it were desertion.
When we bid a last goodbye, no matter what the tenure,
we still feel pathetic sigh
as if it were premature.
When we euthanize a pet, no matter what the reason,
we still feel painful regret
as if it were high treason.
When we revisit old haunts, no matter what the sector,
we still feel familiar jaunts
as if it were a specter.
There must be heaven above ready for our furry friend
who gave us the purest love
till the pass around the bend.
