Analysis of Exorcist (Broken Cross)

The cross is facing darkness...

What are the odds...?
Their stares are chained together
One drunk with rage, the other - doubtless!
Awaiting hand of god...

...devotion without question...

Skin - burns... Step closer, demon!
Let's purify, and rid of ALL that's heathen!

He prays in silence... scars across the face
Child's blood trace, leading to the locker...
Cannot delay... debts MUST be paid!

So he will use - forbidden skill
Some call it - The Holy Burning....

Just as the beast begins slow turning,
Ready to attack! Eyes - emanating feral steam!
He holds his breath....and then unleashes
Untamed and overwhelming scream!!!!

Amount of light becomes white madness!
Torched hands ablaze with pain!
ALL shadows gone!!! All movement strained!!! ALL dust unsettled!!!
By roaring sound and trembling earth!
For what is worth - he's screaming more!!!
So barely heard in the surrounding chaos....

...NO....NE PATRIS...ET..........TUS SANCTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!

When room is barely cleared, he CHARGES after traces!
Passing remains of fallen foe, where evil is no more...
He runs, in hopes of bringing smiles - to captive's face
There was sufficient time! There HAD to be!
God give him haste!!!

He finds... inside the locker - terror!!! Loss....And sorrow...
No smiles for little one, and no tomorrow...

Why.......? Why did the child deserve to die?!!!!
There WAS sufficient time....!

But no one is around to answer....

So many battles...holy wars, but never such horrendous loss...

As Servant... his ground was always with Devotion stood...
But Works...
The Plan...
...were never truly understood...

he stayed there...
staring at the shards of broken cross,
seeking strength - to face the darkness....
