Analysis of Easy

EASY
Oh how easy to forget about time,
Ignore it certainly by your own design,
But be conscious of what it can do,
Making you late for your next interview.

When not important you can use ‘Island Time'
No need to worry you get along fine,
Under those circumstances it doesn't matter much,
Hands of a clock you don't see or touch.

Within a city with meters running fast,
Constantly there's pressure no relaxing as in the past,
Then for work there's a commitment involved,
Gone glide time it disappeared or dissolved.

Birthdays and anniversaries come to the fore,
What you didn't remember about those you adore,
You must record and document these days,

Striking a balance is what really pays.

stan brierly

I have been writing poems for forty years and written about all sorts of things. Somehow I get creating streaks and can write up to 4 or 5 poems at once of varying subjects. I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
