Analysis of Chosen People

Some people mate a lifetime, some a one-night stand.
Some people build on solid rock, some on shifting sand.
Some people love completely, some hold plenty back.
Some people keep a ledger book, some never keep track.
Some people are enemies, some are faithful friends.
Some people tender occasion, some lead to dead-ends.
Some people stir excitement, some muffle all joy.
Some people lift the spirit high, some deflate the buoy.
Some people grow in stature, some shrivel in size.
Some people wear a masquerade, some show no disguise.
Some people are prominent, some remain unknown.
Some people find a partnership, some go it alone.
Some people live with honor, some abide with shame.
Some people get their just deserts, some assign the blame.
Some people last forever, some are swiftly spent.
Some people are forgettable, some are permanent.
Some people waft in the wind, some go with the flow.
Some people unshackle the heart, some meld in the soul.
