Analysis of Candlelight



I watched a ship burn at sea last night,
surrounded by shores it never would reach.

I wanted to be on board
to swab its flaming deck with gasoline
and hoist its fiery sails to catch solar winds.

I wanted to sail it and bring it to port.

Without hesitation, I dove into the dark waters
and swam towards it...
