Analysis of Broken Heart

I see your getting confident
that’s nice to know
that the guy I met is starting to grow.
into the man I seen within

but one thing don’t forget
about our relationship and how we started it
it had a humble start
with two people that were hurt

with fear we gave each other trust
and gave each other the pieces to our broken heart
together we have mended the pieces
together we have made it this far

many don't see what we see
but it's okay 'cause they don't need to see
they don't need to know our plans
they might say many things but at this point I don't give a dam!!!!

I just don't want you to forget
that I’m not just your girl I’m also your friend
and as your friend I’ll never hurt you nor let nobody hurt you
as I expect you to do the same for me

don’t take this as a threat my dear
there is nothing for you to fear
I’m just telling the guy that has become a man
to remember about the girl that he made a woman

Melissa Torres

These are but written photos of my life, my mind, and those around me captured as best as I could in words. I'm not a trained writer so my style is of no particular way. I have long detailed poems and short to the point ones. My hope is that you can see what I have seen feel what i felt with out braking your head trying to figure out what I meant. Enjoy! more…
