Analysis of Blue

Delicate songs roamed through her hair's colour,
soft notes of wild pleasure struck stark hot pain,
tears left memory in new fine lined tracks.

Evening rocked her body through early hours,
all the beautiful times she held closely,
washed away as warm blood met the cold air.

Familiar breath became a stranger
in her midst: mocking life's silent fresh willed -
adventurous first stumbles; what a waste.

Blue skin, victory, absent from childbirth,
sobs wracked her small frame's plea for existence,
removing thoughts of still born painful time.

With casual noise outside she lost life
and dripped herself into the long shadows
where no one really looked to catch her plight.
