Analysis of Bait & Switch Tactics (for short, or) How To Trap a Black Widow or Praying Mantis

I'm the quiet and quite
naive gullible guy
on which you've become so reliant
The gentle giant
you've come to know and loathe
who hangs out at the gallows
The dummy slumped over
in the magic shop window
which still hasn't been sold
I'm the same old dunce,
the ugly grunt, the litter runt
you wanted to drown and abandon,
but Behold
now I've overgrown
to the size of a Dragon!

I'm the one who runs the flophouse
in between sister cities of scandal
who rolls out the red carpet
for you only to trounce on and trample
and gets all geared-up and giddy
when you secretly slip him a sample
who all these crooked hookers
who wrote the book on abuse
can't even handle
and wouldn't dare touch
with a ten-foot pole or cattle prod
cause I don't hold a candle

I'm surrendered to your spells
and stuck under your thumbs
Now I scramble and grovel
when you toss me some crumbs
Suckered into the inescapable
sphere of your control
It's an inexorable,
inexplicable imminent death
as I'm shredded at the event
horizon of your black hole

My dear,
do I seem so serene
and palpable
now that I'm crunched in your clutches,
crushed up
between your black mandibles?
You don't savor the taste, madame
but if you must - rush
I confess and suggest you should trust
when I blush and say
Laugh while you can
because your one indiscretion was thus
you also just
ingested my venom glands
